To provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for kindergarten students (ages 3–6), promoting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through a structured, international curriculum.
1. Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum (e.g., IPC, EYFS, or IB PYP Early Years)
Use diverse teaching methods (storytelling, play-based learning, group activities, etc.)
Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs
Integrate basic English language instruction for non-native speakers
Foster creativity, curiosity, and love for learning
2. Classroom Management
Create a structured, safe, and welcoming environment
Guide children's behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
Maintain clean, engaging, and resourceful learning spaces
Promote health, hygiene, and safety practices daily
3. Student Assessment
Observe and document children’s developmental milestones
Conduct informal and formal assessments to evaluate student learning
Prepare student portfolios and progress reports
Hold regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss development
4. Communication & Collaboration
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and leadership
Collaborate with co-teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff
Participate in team planning, professional development, and staff meetings
Support school events and activities (concerts, open house, sports days, etc.)
5. Professional Conduct
Uphold school values and international education standards
Respect Cambodian culture and promote global citizenship
Maintain confidentiality and ethical practices
Continuously reflect and improve on teaching practice
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
Teaching certification/license (preferred: international teaching qualification)
Minimum 2 years of kindergarten teaching experience
Strong English proficiency (spoken and written)
Culturally sensitive, patient, and passionate about early learners
