As a Kindergarten Teacher at our international school in Phnom Penh, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children (ages 3–6). You will guide students through foundational stages of academic, social, and emotional development using a play-based, inquiry-driven, and student-centered approach in line with international curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with international early years curriculum frameworks (e.g., IB PYP, British EYFS, or equivalent).
-Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, respect, and collaboration.
-Use a variety of teaching methods and educational resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental levels.
-Monitor and assess student progress through observation, documentation, and formative assessments.
-Communicate regularly with parents about student development, classroom activities, and school events.
-Collaborate with teaching assistants, other educators, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
-Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization in line with school policies.
-Participate in school events, professional development workshops, and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
-Teaching license or certification in early years/primary education (preferred)
-Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in early childhood, ideally in an international school setting
-Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IB PYP, British EYFS, Reggio Emilia, or Montessori approaches).
