• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for logistics operations.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and identify cost drivers.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
• Monitor logistics costs (transportation, warehousing, freight, customs).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Track and manage logistics-related KPIs.
• Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of logistics expenses.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
• Review and validate financial data before submission to senior management.
• Support long-term logistics network planning from a financial perspective.
• Conduct scenario analysis (cost impact of new warehouse, new route, outsourcing, etc.).
• Contribute to annual strategic planning and capital investment decisions (CAPEX).
• Assess financial risks related to logistics operations.
• Monitor exposure to freight fluctuations, taxes, duties, and currency risks.
• Recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor impact of inventory levels on cash flow.
• Support optimization of working capital.
• Review payment terms with logistics customers.
• Approve logistics-related expenses within assigned limits.
• Authorize budget allocations for logistics operations.
• Access all relevant financial and operational data.
• Recommend approval of logistics contracts from a financial perspective.
• Approve financial reports prior to submission.
• Supervise and evaluate finance team members supporting logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or Supply Chain.
• MBA is an advantage.
• 5–8+ years of finance experience, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Experience in team leadership is preferred.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Understanding of logistics cost structures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
